- 6 tablespoons salted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
- 8 oz farfalle pasta
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 oz fresh basil (more to taste)
- 1/2 cup pine nuts (lightly toasted)
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add lemon slices and minced garlic; cook until golden brown (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in an additional 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Boil water in a large pot; cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain.
- Combine hot pasta in the skillet with the lemon garlic butter mixture.
- Stir in remaining butter and Parmesan cheese over low-medium heat until melted.
- Mix half of the chopped basil into the pasta before serving.
- Garnish with remaining basil, toasted pine nuts, and cracked black pepper.
