Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp by combining olive oil and spices in a bowl. Toss the shrimp until well-coated and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. For the slaw, mix cabbage, carrots, and cilantro in one bowl. In another bowl, whisk together mayonnaise and lime juice; pour over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook marinated shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and slightly charred.
  4. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet. Assemble tacos by layering shrimp and slaw on each tortilla.
