Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb wild-caught shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 lime (zest and juice)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ bunch cilantro (finely chopped)
  • 3 cups green cabbage (finely shredded)
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 8 tortillas (corn or flour)
  • Avocado (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and chili powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp for about 90 seconds on each side until golden brown.
  3. Lower heat; add butter, lime zest, lime juice, honey, and chopped cilantro to the shrimp. Toss well and simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix shredded cabbage, Greek yogurt, lime juice, cilantro, and salt to make the slaw.
  5. Warm tortillas. Assemble by layering slaw on each tortilla followed by shrimp. Top with sliced avocado.
